I think that Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine should have won. Donald Trump isn't a good influence on the impressionable children and teens. He also disrespects women and continues to lie about how he respects women the most. Hillary may have leaked emails, but the FBI literally found nothing. Donald all about making threats towards Hillary (for example, he says he is going to lock her up when he is president because of the email thing).
I think that Clinton would have made a better president because she is for the women and children. She had a lot of policies that I agreed with and I think that the United States of America would have thrived if she would have become president. Also, I think that Clinton was way more prepared at the debates that she had with Trump. I think that we need a president that is prepared and ready to deal with whatever curve ball that is thrown at them. While I wish Hillary Clinton would become president instead of Donald Trump, I cannot change what has already happened. Trump winning the electoral votes (Hillary won the popular vote). So, I sincerely hope that Trump will try his hardest to make our country thrive and that he listens to the people, rather than just himself.

Recently, my family and I found out that one of my dogs, Sadie, has Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anemia. That's where her immune system begins to attack her own red blood cells, eventually destructing the red blood cells. When too many red blood cells are destroyed it means that the patient becomes anemic and cold and weak. Since the red blood cells are being destroyed on the inside, Sadie's gums have become yellow-tinged. When my mom first brought Sadie home from the vet she was very weak and just sat in a chair. She could barely walk, much less get up the porch steps.
The first couple of days, my dad and mom stayed at the house with her. She was barely eating, and we didn't know if she was going to live. The vet told us that the first five days were critical. If she survived them, then that was a good sign. I was the ony one that could get her to eat, and even then I could only get her to eat wet food, and oddly enough cheese. Also, we have to give her pills, possibly for the rest of her life. One, day I woke to find her in my bed, and that is how I knew she was getting better. I knew that because she had managed to climb up the stairs to the second floor and managed to jump into my bed. Today, Sadie is doing much better. She's still a little weak and weighs less than she used to, but she is barking again like she used to and is eating more food. My family and I are happy that she is doing better and positive that she is going to live to an older age. She might have to take medication the rest of her life, but anything is worth it to keep our beloved Sadie alive and healthy! 1. What do you learn about the main character, Martin, in the exposition?
That Martin is afraid of elevators because he is afraid that the elevator will stop in between floors and he'll be stuck on it, and of confined spaces. Also, his dad is kind of hard on him, telling him that he needs to act like a man. He is very athletic, and he is short. 2. What event sets the rising action in motion? The event that sets the rising action in motion is when Martin is going down in the elevator on the way to school, when a fat lady that he does not recognize gets on, and won't stop staring at him. He gets so creeped out that he runs from the elevator all the way to school, where he worried about riding again with her all day. 3. What internal conflict is plaguing Martin in lines 81-84? The internal conflict that is plaguing Martin is that he thinks that he will have to ride with the lady again and he is afraid of that. He is at first thinking that he will just take the stairs, but he doesn't want to be a coward. 4. What details in lines 88-105 help to create suspense about what might happen? That Martin is being stalked by the fat lady. Also, how the lady is coming and going to a whole bunch of different floors, to possibly see which floor that Martin lives on, which is why she pushed the 18th floor button. 7. Judging only by line 175, the climax of the story, is Martin in danger? Explain your opinion. I think that Martin is in danger because the fat lady has been stalking him, and when he tried to tell his father, his father just told to man up. But, now Martin is injured and the lady is on the elevator with him, and she stops it. I think that Martin is in danger because this lady is creepy and is stalking him. One of the most important character traits in a US President is integrity. I think that integrity is one of the most important character traits because if a President doesn't have morals or principles than the US is in for some trouble. Presidents need to be able to see the difference what is wrong and what is right for the citizens of the United States of America. Also, they need to have good principles to keep the US from chaos. If they have good principles than that will mean they what is right for the US.
The second most important character trait in a US President is honesty. I think honesty is important in a President because they can't have any skeletons in their closet that they are hiding from the public. Besides, if they did something really bad that they are trying to keep from the public, than maybe they shouldn't be president. Also, they should just get everything out and open because it's going to get discovered anyway, and that would be a good way to not surprise anyone. Also, a president needs to be able to the public with complete honesty what is happening to the US and other problems in the world that involves the US. Finally, the last important character trait in a US President is confidence. If the president wasn't confident in any or all of the decisions he/she made than no one would really trust them to make decisions for our country. Also, if the weren't confident in the decisions they made, than other large countries could take that as a window of opportunity to take advantage of us. Finally, if they had low confidence then they might always be second guessing their decisions even if they were right or wrong, and wouldn't get anything done for this country. If I had a million dollars, one thing I would buy is a horse and the equipment that you need with one. I have wanted a horse for a while. I take horseback riding lessons every week, and I really enjoy it. I would like a horse that I could call my own and I want the responsibility of taking care of a horse. I would see it everyday to groom it and take care of it. Horses are very special animals, I want the chance to have one and to take care of one by myself. Also, the grooming supplies and the tack that you need to get with a horse can cost a lot of money.
If I had a million dollars, one thing I would pay for a great college. If I had a million dollars, I would use the money to pay for a great vet college for me to go to. I want to be a veterinarian, I want to get the best education that I can. I would probably use the money to pay for either Ohio State University or Cornell (in New York), because those colleges have two of the best veterinarian programs in the U.S. I want to be a successful veterinarian, and if I had the money to pay for eight years of college, than that is one thing I would use it for. If I had a million dollars, one thing I would do with it is to buy me and my sister cars. If we both had cars (when we're old enough to drive, of course) than we would could get around easily and more efficiently. That way our parents wouldn't have to drive us around everywhere and if my sister and I wanted to go to different places at the same time, we wouldn't have to decide who's place we were going to go to. Also it would be more efficient for when we are older, because we could get around to our own activities, jobs, and friends easily without bugging our parents to drive back into town. 1) Aha Moment: The Aha Moment is when Squeaky started racing. When Squeaky looked over to the other side of the fence, she saw Raymond running almost as fast as her. She realized that Raymond was almost as good as her and she almost stopped running to watch Raymond run. That was when she realized that she could coach him into being a racer, too.
2) Plot: -Exposition: Squeaky is a tough girl who protects Raymond from people who try to make fun of him and will knock you down if you do. She is also the fastest person in the neighborhood. Raymond is a Squeaky's older brother who is disabled. He spends most of his time with Squeaky and learns how to run from her without her really knowing that she taught him. Gretchen is Squeaky's biggest competition and is her enemy. In the end she seems to turn out all right. The setting is Squeaky's neighborhood, Broadway, and the track. The conflict is that Gretchen is racing against Squeaky and that her and her sidekicks are an enemy to Raymond because they try to make fun of him. -Rising Action: The rising action is when Gretchen and her sidekicks, Mary Louise and Rosie, are coming up Broadway towards Squeaky and Raymond. They start out by asking questions about the May Day races and telling her that she isn't going to win this time, and then they all looked at Raymond and tried to see how much trouble they could get into by talking to him and making gun of him. -Climax: The climax is when Squeaky is racing and Gretchen and you don't know who is going to win. Also, at the same time when Raymond was "racing" on the other side of the fence and Squeaky realizing that Raymond is good at something. -Falling Action: The falling action is when the announcers call Squeaky's name for first place and Gretchen got second. Also, when Squeaky starts coming up with a plan for turning Raymond into a runner, like how she could coach him. -Resolution: The resolution is when Gretchen and Squeaky are smiling at each other after they announced Squeaky as the winner, and Squeaky thinks that maybe Gretchen would like to help coach Raymond because she is a serious runner, too. 3a) How do you know if something is worth effort? Give an example of a time when you worked hard for something. Why was it worth it? -You know if something is worth the effort if you want it badly and if you haven't thought about giving that thing up. A time when I worked hard for something is when I was saving up to buy my own bike that I wanted. It was worth it because I really wanted it and now I can get around my town and have fun on it. 3b) How do you judge someone? For example, if you said "She is a confident person," how would you make that judgement? Have you ever misjudged someone? -You judge someone by the way they act or talk to others or you. You would make the judgement that she's confident by the way she acted. If you think she is a confident person she must have done something to convince you that she was a confident person. I have misjudged a person before. It was a snap judgement because I didn't really know them. But, then I got to know them and I realized that they were a good person and that I was wrong. 3c) Give an example of an Aha Moment you recently had. (Think of the "lightbulb" going off right above your head) How did this change your situation? -An Aha Moment that I recently had was when I realized I was overhand serving incorrectly in volleyball, and then I saw someone else serving and I realized that I was wrong. It changed my situation because now I am doing it correctly and I can get the ball over the net now. |
